Introduction ​

PaletteLens ("we", "our", or "us") is designed to help you create color palettes from images while keeping your photos and generated palettes on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how PaletteLens handles information when you use the PaletteLens app (the "App").

Information Handled by the App ​

Photos and Images You Choose ​

PaletteLens can process images that you choose to import from Photos, Files, or Camera. These images are used to generate dominant color palettes and HEX color values.

PaletteLens itself does not upload your photos to a server.

Generated Palettes ​

Generated palettes, imported image data, color values, and palette metadata are stored locally on your device so you can view, search, copy, and regenerate palettes later.

App Preferences ​

PaletteLens stores local preferences, such as your default color count, on your device.

Permissions ​

PaletteLens may request access to:

  • Photos: Used only when you choose to import an image from your photo library.
  • Camera: Used only when you choose to capture a photo for palette generation.
  • Files: Used only when you choose an image through the system file picker.

You can manage Photos and Camera permissions at any time in your device settings.

Data We Do Not Collect ​

PaletteLens itself does not collect:

  • Analytics data
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Tracking data across apps or websites
  • Account registration data
  • Precise location data
  • Photos or generated palettes on our servers

Subscriptions and Purchases ​

PaletteLens Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process purchase, billing, and subscription information according to Apple's terms and privacy policy. PaletteLens uses StoreKit to check your subscription entitlement and unlock Pro features in the App.

We do not receive your full payment card details.

How Information Is Used ​

PaletteLens uses on-device information to:

  • Generate color palettes from selected images
  • Save and display your local palette library
  • Search saved colors by HEX value
  • Copy color values
  • Regenerate palettes when Pro features are available
  • Remember app preferences

Data Storage and Deletion ​

PaletteLens stores app data locally on your device. You can remove local app data by deleting palettes in the App or uninstalling PaletteLens.

If you contact us by email for support, we may retain that email as needed to respond to your request and maintain support records.

Data Sharing ​

PaletteLens itself does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information only if required by law or if you explicitly choose to share information with us, such as when sending a support email.

Third-Party Services ​

PaletteLens relies on Apple platform services, including:

  • App Store and StoreKit: App distribution, subscriptions, purchases, refunds, and entitlement checks.
  • Photos, Camera, and Files: System permissions and media/file selection.

These services are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.

Children's Privacy ​

PaletteLens is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users ​

Because PaletteLens itself does not operate a user-content backend, your photos and palettes remain on your device by default. Apple platform services may process technical, purchase, or subscription information in accordance with Apple's own policies.

Changes to This Policy ​

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above.
